Moving from one apartment to another consisted, in general, of transporting a tape recorder with speakers; other things, as a rule, were extremely few. The tape recorder was the heart of any home; I remember seeing on the street someone’s words put up for transportation to a new place, we were utterly amazed at the lack of a device for playing music. It was utterly incomprehensible to us. You can live without clothes and a bed - but how can you live without music?
